On DDP terms the seller arranges export declaration in China, international freight, import clearance, duties, taxes and delivery to the named place.
What to confirm in writing
Check the named place, who acts as importer of record, which duties and taxes are covered, and what happens if customs requests extra documents. A quote that leaves these open is not a delivered price.
Why it matters for oversized cargo
Large cargo is expensive to hold at a terminal. Settling clearance details before departure avoids storage charges after arrival.
